February 22, 2017: Kenton High School Parent Informational Night: College Credit Plus, Hi-Point, and other course information

On Wednesday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a parent/student informational meeting at KHS.
A College Credit Plus (CCP) informational meeting will be in the Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. for parents and students. This is a
mandatory meeting for students planning to participate in any type of CCP courses for the 2017-2018 school year. The student and/or parent must be present. The College Credit Plus Program allows qualified high school students to earn college credit and/or high school credit through successful completion of college courses. A program overview, qualifications, and deadlines will be discussed. Representatives from area colleges will be present. The necessary paperwork to begin the enrollment process will be distributed and must be returned to KHS by March 31, 2017.
An Ohio Hi-Point informational meeting will also be held on the evening of February 22nd in the library at 6:30 p.m., for any freshman or sophomore parents who may be interested in more information on Hi-Point’s programs. Students apply to Ohio Hi-Point during sophomore year, and attend a two-year program of study during Junior and Senior years of high school. Information on other elective courses will also be available for Freshman and Sophomore parents
at this evening event.
