Pippin, the story of a young prince who longs to find passion and adventure in his life, will be staged this weekend by the Kenton High School Vocal Music Department.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kenton Middle School auditorium.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors (age 62 and older). Tickets will be available at the door.
The Stephen Schwartz musical features an acrobatic troupe of performers, led by the charismatic Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin.
After many adventures, Pippin struggles to decide whether he should settle down and pursue a peaceful life or continue to make magic with the dazzling troupe of performers.
The production features Lindsey Beverly as Leading Player, Nicolas Whitaker as Pippin, Alec Keller as King Charles, Chloe Musser as Fastrada, Annabelle Humphries as Berthe, Ethan Morris as Lewis, Aubrey Thrush as Catherine, Caleb MacKenzie as Theo and Gage Buxton as Unnamed Clown.
The chorus includes Lily James, Zane Preston, Britton Bell, Myranda Archer, Grace Hattery, Michaela Markwell, Mary Rosebrook, Katie Sturgeon, Claire Bailey, Riley Hershberger, Emily Pistorova, Aryanna Spangler, Tiffany Baum, Grace Collins, Abby Oberlitner, Mei Tashiro and Abby Saylor.
Members of the stage crew are Nevaeh Stewart, Eden Cronley, Julius Tapia and Tyler Buxton.
